Making a Miele of It

There's another addition to our splendid line-up of celebrated names as we welcome Miele to our extensive Adamson kitchen offering. From cooker hoods to hobs, fridge freezers to fan assisted ovens, Miele lives up to its "Immer Besser" (Forever Better) slogan with precision engineered, German appliances, renowned for their quality and longevity. We love Miele particularly because they're just like us – a family owned, family run business who take a personal pride in everything they create. At Adamson, we shudder with you at just how difficult it can be to attempt to integrate your kitchen from here, your appliances from there, tiling from this chap, electrics from that…which is precisely why we bypass the whole messy and confusing process to offer you absolutely everything you need under one roof, not to mention the finest quality choice you could ever wish for.

New Bathroom Showroom Open Days - Spring 2008

As if our new kitchen and appliance re-fit isn't enough, we're already well on with creating our brand new bathroom displays. The whole sparkling magic box will be unveiled at our Open Days in the spring, so do drop us an email if you'd like to be among the first to admire and enjoy. You can come sooner if you don't mind bumping into the designers, fitters, artists and sculptors who are all currently falling over each other and not a small amount of sawdust (or should that say stardust) to add their personal touches to our breath-taking new displays. It gets a bit mad sometimes but at least you can see the love and care that goes into making our showroom so special. We'll be sending out invitations soon and we hope you'll book a space in your diary to join us for our Champagne Launch this spring. Family Matters

Since our last newsletter with news of Mark and Sara's wedding, we're delighted to announce that Rachel and Chris have celebrated the Christmas birth of their son, Alex, on 27th December 2006. Quite unbelievably, he's already one year old and giving his sister, Grace, a fair bit of competition for the building blocks! How time flies.

Rachel, who is M.D. Colin Moors' daughter, has also been promoted to the position of Business Development Director while her husband Chris and brother-in-law Mark– are also now Technical Directors. Whilst Colin still holds the principal management position, he would ideally like to ease himself into a semi-retirement over the next few years, having trained the next generation of his family for their new roles.

Rachel might not approve of us saying this but she is a positive powerhouse of clever, creative and innovative ideas for the company's future. Not least she is pioneering a contemporary new look for the company.

She says, "Adamson is highly respected and easily recognised all over the North West and I want to build on that proud history. Equally, I'm trying to create a new look that represents the next generation for Adamson Construction and Interiors. It's a tricky business, balancing our long-held reputation with our dreams of the future."

"For example, we're all used to seeing Adamson turned out in its smart, business like colours and livery but I'd love to see us integrate something softer now…something to balance up the masculine and feminine. We're exploring lots of ideas…so what do you think about pink? Seriously though, it's commonplace to see "Whathisname & Son" but in our case it's Adamson & Daughter & Sons-in-Law which makes us pretty unusual and uniquely placed to offer a family service especially for families.
