The New Adamson Showroom - a showcase of 21st Century design inspiration

Adamson has devoted months of painstaking work to the complete re-fit of its showroom which now features magnificent displays of kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms and home office solutions. Expect the Wow! factor as you are greeted by a breath-taking monochrome kitchen, remarkable for its sweeping geometric lines of uninterrupted glossy black. All the inspirational room sets have been created by the Adamson team, who have dedicated their 'free' time to building these displays, between the constant flow of interiors they are creating for customers all over the North West.

Browse around the interiors centre and be nothing short of dazzled as you discover warm, sensual bathrooms, elegant streamlined bedrooms and wonderful kitchens, dressed with the ultimate finesse. The artistic touches have all been added by interior designer, Faye Butterworth of Butterworth Interiors, who has worked closely with Rachel Astley and Mark O'Brien to turn the beautiful room sets into works of art. Speaking of which, you can also see sculptural pieces and original artwork, specially commissioned by Adamson to reflect the company's commitment to every last little detail of distinction.

The showroom will be officially launched with a big opening party in the Autumn. It will be a family occasion as you might expect of such a family orientated company as Adamson.

Architectural Surveyor, Marie Towers, is welcomed to the Adamson team.

Adamson has been growing apace, necessitating new recruits to the team. The latest is Marie Towers who joins as Architectural Surveyor. She's one of the people you may well meet when you first ask Adamson to come and talk through your ideas for a new interior, home extension or conversion. Marie brings an exceptional professional pedigree to the fold, including an HND in Architecture and Interior Design and has worked as a surveyor and professional designer in the bathroom industry for four years.

She is also proud to bring her experience as a showroom manager to the new interiors centre at Adamson. She joins the existing interiors team, Mark O'Brien (General Manager), Paul Hopkinson (Designer) and John Metcalfe (Installations Manager). We hope it will be a long and fruitful affiliation and we're delighted and privileged to welcome Marie on board.

Family Matters

Baby Grace gets ready to welcome her new baby brother or sister on Boxing Day!

Rachel and her husband Chris, are preparing for the birth of their second child on Boxing Day 2006 to round off the present-giving with the most precious Christmas gift of all! Names for the baby haven't been chosen yet, but doubtless Grace will have something to say about that soon!

A live wire, Grace is just a year old and as her Mummy puts it, "She's her own woman already and she's proudly developing a very infectious laugh just like me, my sister and my mother! It could get a bit rowdy when we're all together having fun now." Much to her Grandad's delight, Grace's favourite toy of the moment is a large pack of building blocks, kindly donated by Colin, who's never slow to notice potential and a good idea in its infancy! We all wish Rachel, Chris, Grace and the new baby a very happy and safe delivery.

General Manager Mark O'Brien weds Rachel's sister Sara

As if to bless the union between Adamson the company and Adamson the family, the sun shone gloriously for the wedding of Mark and Sara on 3rd June this year. The family reception was held at Shrigley Hall and the happy couple honeymooned on safari in Kenya and beachside in Zanzibar.

Sara is a professional dog groomer with her own thriving business, Grooming Marvellous, and Mark has long been a key member of the Adamson team. Good luck and many blessings on their marriage.

Lancashire Life feature the £700,000 Home Makeover, a feather in Adamson's cap!

Adamson have been faced with every conceivable budget for home makeovers and transformations in their history but £700,000 was really cause for celebration with a slight tinge of alarm.

The massive renovation, re-design and re-fit project in Bolton, Lancs, was a joint venture with interior designers, stylists and a bevy of specialists and consultants, "all putting in their three and four pence" as Mark says with a slightly inscrutable smile. But Adamson's extensive design and build work is evident in virtually all the interior shots Lancashire Life featured in its eight page article, June 2006 issue. Mark goes on, "The project was long and complex but the owners of the Bolton home were clear on their own ideas so it was our pleasure to work with them and achieve their dreams.

The guiding light for us was to keep the homeowners happy and that was our singular mission. To know they're happy with the brand new, much improved and hugely grown-up version of their old home is the ultimate accolade for us here at Adamson. After all, they were making a huge investment in their family's future so the least we could do was pay close attention to what they were dreaming of."

The restoration and refurbishment is a beautiful fusion of influences most of which Mark accredits to the proud owners whose personal design stamp and family heritage have reigned supreme. "The result is their own unique signature home not a designer's high flown fantasy and that's all we could ever have wished to achieve for them."
