We recently had some training from Tristan Edwards, our Liebherr representative. Liebherr are specialists in refrigeration and produce some excellent fridges, freezers and wine storage appliances. We were going through the benefits of BioFresh, that keeps food in those compartments between 0 and 1 degree Celsius (need the shorthand version). This extends the life on short-life produce immensely, for example, cheese can last up to 110 days past the Use By Date by storing it in the BioFresh compartment.
This is excellent news as the average family throws out £650 wasted food each year, and it helps promote the LoveFoodHateWaste campaign that the government are running currently.
